He-myong Woo is a New York City based multidisciplinary artist who weaves together sculpture, sound, image and performance into speculative narratives. His work marks memories of war, poverty, exile and migration and animates reconnection to ancestral wisdom that guides us forward amidst a future of monumental change.

He has a MFA from University of Pennsylvania’s Weitzman School of Design and a BA from New York University. He has exhibited his work in galleries in New York, Philadelphia, Nevada and Washington D.C. He is a member of the Korean American Artist Collective (KAAC) and co-curated the inaugural KAAC group exhibition, Han, which was highlighted in the Washington Post.
